McGuire Law Offices was founded in the spring of 1994 by John and Elyse McGuire. The McGuires, who met in college and attended law school together, were determined to create a firm in John's hometown of Clearwater. John Smitten, a long-time friend of the McGuires, became a partner at the firm in 1996, and has contributed to its rapid growth and expansion primarily through his expertise in family law practice. The attorneys at McGuire Law Offices have established a diversified practice consisting of personal injury and related civil litigation, marital and family law, criminal justice, and criminal defense.
